Methodology
How the record is kept honest.
A signal service is only worth what its record is worth, and a record is only worth something if it cannot be edited, trimmed, or dressed up. These are the rules VALHALLA holds itself to.
- Written before, graded after
- A call is written to the record the moment it locks, with its side, confidence, price ceiling, and time. The grade is added when Kalshi settles the window. Nothing about the call can be changed in between, and nothing is added afterwards.
- Every call counts
- There is no category of call that is left out of the record. A lock that lost is a loss. A lock that the price ran away from before anyone could act is still a lock, and it is graded like every other.
- Silence is not a result
- Windows where the doors stayed closed are not wins and they are not losses; they are windows with no call. The record counts calls, and only calls.
- No number without the list
- VALHALLA does not quote a win rate or a return on its public pages. Every figure it stands behind is computed from the list members can scroll through, and it is shown next to that list.
- The price ceiling
- The engine never locks a side whose ask is above 70 cents. A contract that pays a dollar and costs 85 cents has to be right far more often than it will be to earn its keep. The ceiling is fixed; it is not raised on a good day.
- Rules first, tuning second
- When a rule is changed, it is tested on data the rule was not built on. VALHALLA fits a change on the first part of a period and judges it on the last part, in time order, so that a rule which merely memorised the past does not get shipped.
- Shadow before live
- A new lane or rule runs silently first, graded like a live one but shown to no member, until it has earned a place on the deck. What members see has already been through that.
- Read-only, always
- The engine cannot place an order anywhere. It reads markets; it does not trade them. That is a design choice, not a setting.
Why this matters
A record you can check beats a claim you cannot.
Anyone can post a screenshot of a good hour. The only thing that tells you whether an approach holds up is the full list, including the windows it got wrong, kept by rules that were set before the results came in. VALHALLA is built around that list. The deck exists to show it to you; the alerts exist to get the next line of it to your phone in time.
None of this makes a call right. It makes the record trustworthy, which is the most a service like this can honestly offer.
